CARLO SHARMA showed he has the potential to be a star in the pro league.
The 6’6 center Sharma piled up 19 points and tied his career high 14 rebounds in Air21’s narrow 87-89 setback against Ginebra Friday night in the ongoing 36th Philippine Basketball Association Governor’s Cup at the Araneta Coliseum.
“Everybody wanted to win but we’re still struggling,” said Sharma, who tallied 9-of-17 shooting in the field.
Veteran Wynnie Arboleda fired 17 points along with five rebounds, while Nino Canaleta added 12 points and import Alpha Bangura only produced seven points – same production of Josh Urbiztondo.
The winless Express suffered their sixth straight defeat.
Veteran Danny Seigle, who had back spasm, didn’t play together with the injured Dorian Pena.
